Dallas police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night in east Oak Cliff.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting about 10:25 p.m. in the 3000 block of Prosperity Avenue, according to a statement.

Investigators determined an unidentified man had been shot at the location, the statement said.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
