Security guard killed, woman shot at Fort Worth business Sunday
Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting Sunday in which a person killed a security guard and shot a woman while at a local business.

Officers arrived at the business in the 4500 block of Miller Avenue at 5:45 a.m. in response to a shooting, Fort Worth police said in a news release. Police learned that two people were shot at the scene.
Police investigations determined that a security guard was working after hours and went across the street to the business. Police said the security guard was talking to a person when a confrontation occurred. The suspect fatally shot the security guard and wounded an adult female.
The security guard died at the scene, while the woman was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

The suspect fled following the shooting, according to police.

Police said the victims will be identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
