The major crash was reported around 3:55 a.m. on North Central Expressway near north Henderson Avenue after a silver pickup veered across two lanes and hit a concrete barrier and pillar, police said.
The silver pickup reentered the road and collided with a red truck. Police said the red truck struck a concrete barrier and came to a stop in the road. The silver pickup stopped when it struck the concrete barrier again.
There were five people inside the silver truck, according to police. All four passengers were taken to a hospital, including a juvenile with serious injuries and the female passenger who later died. Police said the driver of the silver truck was arrested and then taken to a hospital.
