Severe storms to roll in on D-FW this Mother’s Day. Here’s when it could rain
North Texas is heading into Mother’s Day weekend with a mix of sunshine and clouds,but storms could roll in Sunday.

Saturday is forecast to start off mostly cloudy before gradually clearing up, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Temperatures during the day are expected to top out near 87 degrees before dropping to 68 degrees at night.

Sunday is going to bring chances of showers and thunderstorms, making it a possibly wet Mother’s Day for Dallas-Fort Worth, the weather service’s forecast said.
The weather said there is a threat of severe weather on Sunday, which will potentially increase through the evening. Scattered to numerous storms can be expected along with large hail and damaging winds.

“Plan ahead for interruptions to outdoor activities,” the weather service said.
The coming week is going to be clear and sunny with little to no chance of showers and storms. However, it is going to be a hot week for North Texas with day temperatures in the 80s and 90s.
