The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in\u00a0Fort Worth Tuesday, the agency said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>

The department said the incident happened in the 3600 block of Outlet Road in Fort Worth and its Texas Rangers have opened a probe into the matter although DPS\u00a0did not publicly identify the law enforcement agency or the officer involved.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>

Fort Worth police said in a statement on social media that no officer from the department was involved in the shooting and that its officers were only at the scene to assist.\u00a0<\/p>
