Man killed in shooting near north Oak Cliff, Kessler Stevens identified

Officials have identified the man who died in a shooting near Dallas’ Kessler Stevens and north Oak Cliff neighborhoods last week.

Anthony Donnavin Taylor, 25, died March 6 at 1:39 a.m. at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.

Dallas police officers responded to reports of a shooting about 1:20 a.m. in the 300 block of East 8th Street, according to a previous statement.

Investigators determined Taylor had been shot by an unknown suspect who fled before officers were on scene, the statement said.
