The man who died after being shot by Ellis County deputies after he allegedly pointed a gun at them in Red Oak last week has been identified.

Officials have identified the person who died in a shooting near Dallas’ Kessler Stevens and north Oak Cliff neighborhoods last week.

A 28-year-old man was identified as the person who died following a shooting in east Oak Cliff last week.

Police said the man fled the scene after officers found the 2-year-old shot in April.

Fort Worth police said the suspect who allegedly killed the security guard and shot a woman fled the scene afterward.
